Train or Plane in Germany: New Strikes on Thursday and Friday

Avoid traveling to and from or through Germany on Thursday and Friday. Its strike time again for the rail and three airports.

Staff employed by German Rail and three German airports are getting ready for two more days of fun and strike.

Thursday and Friday will be the day the airports in Duesseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, and Hamburg will call it a no-work day.

On Friday the National Railroad DB will not operate.

In Germany, they call it warning strikes. This was reported by a number of German based media today.

According to a report by the Bavarian Broadcast Corporation (Bayrischer Rundfunk) the German Rail will not operate Friday morning until 11 am.

German rail, airports and aviation had been the center of ongoing strikes, making a trip to and from and through Germany a gamble for many months already.

Once known as the most reliable country in work ethics, and functionality, the image of the country as a reliable place to visit or do business is getting tarnished strike after strike.
